Pessoa
A daily for those who publish as more than one person.
Marketing OS · Threads & X
One writer. Many voices.
Pessoa runs marketing for a portfolio of products through identities: personas and brands, each with a voice
profile, a face, a following and a disclosure. The ghostwriter drafts in the voice, a human approves, the post goes out
on Threads or X with tracked links, and the numbers come back to one desk.
Named after Fernando Pessoa, who wrote as more than seventy people from the cafés of the Chiado.
The editor, as usually pictured. He kept a table at A Brasileira.
Identities
Pessoa invented seventy. You will need two or three.
He called them heteronyms: not pen names but whole people, each with a biography, a stance and a style. An identity in Pessoa is the same thing, written down so a model can hold it.
Alberto Caeiro the plain one · a virtual persona
Says what he sees and stops. Short sentences, no metaphors, no product talk unless the reader asked. His bio carries a disclosure, because he is not a person and the audience deserves to know.
Tone
calm, direct, plain
Pillars
the thing itself, first principles
Never
“game-changer”, exclamation marks
Ricardo Reis the measured one · a brand voice
Classical, patient, a little formal. Writes for professionals who dislike being sold to. Represents the flagship product as its owner and two smaller ones as a friend.
Tone
warm, precise, unhurried
Niche
independent advisers, UK
Products
owner of one, affiliate of two
Álvaro de Campos the loud one · a founder
Naval engineer, futurist, prone to lists and capital letters. Posts threads, not posts. Has a face generated from one seed image and a voice that narrates his reels.
Tone
bold, restless, funny
Surfaces
Threads (connected), X (manual)
Emoji
one per post, at most

The loop
A day at the paper
The same four desks every morning, whichever identity is writing.
1
The brief
Pick an identity, a surface and, if you like, a product. Write what the posts should do. The Studio hands the ghostwriter the voice profile, the niche's rules, the product's positioning and the platform limits.
2
The desk
Variants come back as drafts, each with an angle and a rationale. Nothing is truncated: a draft that breaks a limit is sent back once, then dropped. You edit, attach images, approve.
3
The press
Schedule inside the surface's posting window and daily cap, or publish now. Threads are posted as chains of replies; a failure mid-thread resumes where it stopped. Manual surfaces queue the text for you to paste.
4
The ledger
Every link is wrapped in a tracked short link with UTM tags. Views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, clicks and followers are fetched on a schedule and rolled up per identity and per product.

The studio upstairs
The face and the voice
A persona needs to be seen and heard, consistently, without a photographer or a studio.
Portraits character images
Describe the character once. Generate seed candidates across image models, promote one, and build a collection of reference shots from it. Ad hoc scenes reuse the seed so the face stays the same.
Newsreels 10 to 30 second videos
A planner writes two to six scenes with a hook and a caption. Each scene gets a keyframe in the character's likeness, a clip from a video model, and is stitched with captions and narration.
Wireless one voice per identity
Design a voice from a description or adopt one from the library. Every spoken line, every narrated reel, sounds like the same person. Lip sync is honest about itself: not yet.

Classifieds
Small print, large consequences
Disclosure
Virtual personas must carry one. It is appended to the public bio and the model is told never to invent a life.
Tenancy
Workspaces are walled. Owners, admins and members; invitations by email; nothing leaks across accounts, and a test proves it.
Quotas
Threads' rolling window and X's monthly caps are read or counted before a post goes out. Over the line, the post waits instead of failing.
Tokens
Platform tokens are encrypted at rest, refreshed on a schedule, and never printed. When one expires, the owners get a letter.
Manual surfaces
No API? Post by hand, paste the URL back. Tracked links and metrics work all the same.
Costs
Every generation, image, reel and voice line records its tokens or dollars. Settings shows the month's bill by service.
Human in the chair
Nothing publishes without an approval. The model drafts; the editor decides.
Wanted
A Meta app, an X developer account and an Anthropic key. Apply within, see the setup notes.
